About The Project:
When one of the nation’s most recognized health care delivery systems transitioned to a new management team, they turned their focus to curbing their total spend on full-time technology roles. As a result, they needed to consider replacing their staff with contingent workers. So, they looked to the Tandym Tech team to work as an exclusive vendor for their IT staffing needs throughout this transitional period.
The Challenge:
Niche Applicant Pool: The client sought to implement a new digital application, Mobile Heartbeat, and needed IT professionals with experience using Cisco Jabber and Lync in addition to possessing strong communication skills and stellar presentational skills.
Regional Expansions: Implementing new technology across several hospital locations throughout the 5 NYC boroughs and the Westchester area, required 10 additional Mobile Heartbeat Trainers to guide the ramp-up process.
Budgetary Constraints: The client was spending too much on their current full-time IT resources, and therefore, were under extreme budgetary constraints for the types of resources they could secure moving forward.
The Results:
The Tandym tech team was instrumental in educating the client on the types of innovative staffing solutions we could develop to meet their budget constraints.
Before we structured a Statement of Work/Consulting agreement, we met with the client’s management team to identify the type of skillset their resources would need and outline an onboarding process that would ensure the project’s time-sensitive implementation. This agreement allowed for an overall faster staffing process as the client wouldn’t need to go through their internal HR department (i.e., longer candidate turnaround time, longer interview process, longer onboarding process, delayed feedback time, etc.).
The submittal process for qualified candidates was structured so that the client hired 5 people at first, and once they were onboarded and trained onsite, we continued to submit 3-5 candidates for each of the remaining openings to ensure doctors and physicians were trained appropriately. Within one month, our team identified and submitted a total of 30 candidates, of which the client hired all 10 professionals they needed for the project. The client truly valued the high-level customer service we provided to each of the new hires throughout the onboarding process, as we accompanied them on their first day to get acquainted with the facility and team members.
The client successfully launched the Mobile Heartbeat application and continues to work with the Tandym Tech team as a consistent staffing partner due to our ability to outline a strategic solution that not only provided the IT resources they needed, but produced significant cost savings as well.
